OSHA and the Red Cross recently announced that over the next five years they’ll be focusing on providing employers and their workers with information and training resources on emergency preparedness, disease prevention education, and first aid.
It makes a lot of sense for the two groups to work together, because their missions are both for the health and safety of individuals. The Red Cross is currently sharing information and updates to OSHA’s reporting requirements, as well as hosting webinars for employers and workers to better understand the prevention of disease.
The Red Cross is also working with OSHA to provide resources for preparing for emergency situations. Knowing what steps to take in the event of an emergency can save lives.
